My husband and I spent a night in North Hartford, CT on our way to a week-long vacation in New Hampshire. While there are several kosher options in the Hartford, CT metropolitan area, most of them are located in West Hartford. We were happy to discover Yosi Kosher Catering in Windsor, CT within a 10-minute drive from our overnight accommodations.
Yosi Kosher Catering (also known as Yosi Kitchen) is a food service facility under the supervision of Harford Kosher Council, which specializes in Mediterranean/Middle Eastern cuisine. They have both meat and dairy kitchens, and offer catering, takeout and delivery services in the area. They also supply local Whole Food stores with some freshly-made packaged meals. There is even a grocery store onsite, with a selection of pre-packaged kosher items, as well as their own fresh and frozen meals (and a few tables and chairs for customers’ convenience).
We pre-ordered lunch and dinner for the day from their takeout menu, and picked them up in the morning. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced, and came in convenient to-go containers. The sandwiches – Grilled Chicken Caesar and Schnitzel – were served with a generous heaping of fries. Our dinner was filling and very appetizing: we chose Kebab and Mediterranean Chicken Breast Platters, both with Mujadara Rice and Moroccan Grilled Vegetables for sides. Sesame Noodles and Taboulleh did not disappoint either.
Yosi Kosher Catering works with a number of food delivery services, so you can still enjoy their dishes even if you do not find yourself as close to their location as we did.
